Mozilla Foundation releases new betas of Firefox, Thunderbird

To keep the excitement and consumer interest, Mozilla Foundation has released another rounds of betas of the much-awaited major upgrades to their flagship software products, Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird. Both of the applications now have beta 2 of the version 1.5 available for download from the Mozilla Foundation website.

Mozilla Firefox is now available in version 1.5 beta 2 with the final version destined to be ready for released by the end of the year. Not many things have changed since the beta 1 as per the released information other than bug fixes and security updates. The foundation now wants the testers and developers to check the release for any remaining issues, which might cause a problem in a final launch of the application.

Mozilla’s email client, Thunderbird 1.5 Beta 2 is also out and offers automated updates, better email address auto completion, a built-in spellchecker, and a built-in phishing detector. It also features Podcasting and other RSS Improvements in addition to server-side spam filtering integration; Kerberos authentication; mail composition auto save; and an improved user interface.
