Google Picasa 3 beta now available on Linux

Google has now available the Picasa 3 beta application for the Linux platform.

Picasa 3 beta has already been available on Windows for some time now. It’s good to see that Google is keeping it up to date on Linux platform as well.

However, there are no signs on when Google might bring the application on the Apple Mac platform.

A Google representative spoke about the possibility of the Mac version of Picasa: “Macs are important to us…We’re always looking for new ways of making sure our users are happy, so it’s something we’re looking at.”

Apple already ships a comparable application on Mac called Apple iPhoto.

There is only one problem with iPhoto on the Mac: it is very slow and it’s interface is frustrating to use. I want Picasa for Mac!
