Google Android Marketplace to be more open compared to Apple App Store
Google has showcased their first Android platform powered mobile device G1.
The launch is expected to coincide with the launch of the Google Android Marketplace.
Google Android Marketplace is similar in concept to Apple App Store.
It would carry the applications which can be used by the Android phone users to purchase and download applications.
These applications would be from various sources including independent developers.
Google has now hinted that the Android store would be much more open and flexible compared to the Apple App Store.
For example, a developer would be able to offer trial versions of their applications before the user has to pay for it.
Developers of Apple iPhone applications cannot do it right now. They can either offer it for free or ask the user to pay a price before they can access the application.
