WebKit becomes first rendering engine to fully pass Acid3 test

WebKit is the rendering engine used by Apple Safari and Google Chrome.

The developers behind the rendering engine claim that they have now become the first one to pass Acid3 test completely.

This includes the condition of smooth animation rendering.

Presto and WebKit had previously reached pretty close to achieving the perfect scores earlier this year. The last condition remained to be fulfilled.

It would however still take some time for the updated rendering engine to land in production ready web browsers.
