Google Android applications start coming out
Google has just announced their G1 mobile phone that would be launched in the US market next month.
Google G1 is powered by the Google Android mobile platform.
The phone is yet to come out but developers have already started launching new applications for this new mobile platform.
Visa has of course announced their payment app for the Android which would enable Visa service users to access their account details and other services.
PacketVideo has announced their CORE app which is a multimedia application framework which already power millions of devices worldwide.
Namco has launched the Android version of PacMan videogame. Glu Mobile has announced Bonsai Blast game for the Android.
Big in Japan has announced the ShopSavvy shopping application for this platform.
G1 is incidentally just the first of the many devices which would arrive in the market in the coming months. Users can expect more devices with more features.
This is just the beginning of the latest revolution in the mobile industry.

I work at PacketVideo, and I’d like to post a correction.
CORE was released 10 years ago, and is not an application. PacketVideo (PV) is a founding member of the Open Handset Alliance. We open-sourced a portion of CORE, called OpenCORE, to the Android SDK. It is the entire multimedia subsystem of Android. You can learn more at PV’s website.
Thanks!
