Twitter Election 2008 launched
Social micro-blogging service Twitter has launched a new section on their website which is aimed at the upcoming US elections.
This new section is named Twitter Election 2008 and it displays the filtered out Tweets from the members on the service.
It highlights the messages posted on Twitter related to Barack Obama, John McCain, Joe Biden, Sarah Palin and other election related topics.
Twitter spoke in a message about this new section: “We’re filtering hundreds of Twitter updates per minute to create a new source for gathering public opinion about the presidential election and a new way for you to share your thoughts.”
