Sony Ericsson checking out Google Android platform
HTC has already launched the first mobile phone powered by Google Android mobile platform.
Now, Sony Ericsson has said that they are checking out this new platform but they are not ready to adopt it in the near future.
A company representative said: “We are certainly studying this opportunity, although we’re not in a position to do this at this moment. We should look at this application. We are certainly interested.”
Sony Ericsson is already working on their first Windows Mobile phone which is scheduled to be launched in the coming weeks.
They are also one of the major members of the Symbian Foundation which also develops a mobile platform.
As of now T-Mobile is the only service provider to be offering the Google G1 mobile phone. It is going to be launched in USA next month.
