Nielsen Online: Google Chrome was downloaded 2 million times in first week
Nielsen Online has said in a report that as per their research, as many as 2 million web users downloaded the recently launched Google Chrome web browser in the first week of its launch.
The report said that as many as 1.93 million people visited the Google “Thank You” page which is loaded when a web user downloads it.
Nielson said that this number represents around 1.4 percent of all internet users in the USA.
However, this number means nothing if Google fails to retain these early users of the web browser.
They have just started a program which enables the user to select between dev and beta releases to stay up-to-date with the Chrome browser.
Technology oriented websites are already reporting a pretty impressive Google Chrome user base…
On TechWhack, we have noticed that Google Chrome accounts for nearly 3-5% of all visits in a day.
