Dropbox now open to public
Dropbox is one of the several file-synchronization and online-backup services launched in the recent months.
Till now the service was available only through invites.
They have now opened it to all.
They are offering a 2GB package for free.
Users who require more storage capacity can subscribe to the paid offering: $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year for 50GB.
The company said that the 2GB accounts would remain freely available for ever.
Dropbox also made available their tools for use on Linux operating system. Similar tools for Windows and Apple Macs are already available from their website.
