T-Mobile announces devPartner mobile app store
US based mobile service provider T-Mobile announced some details on their upcoming mobile app store.
This new platform has been named devPartner and it would be launched in November this year.
The store would follow clear rules and a streamlined approval process.
All the applications would require approval from the company. T-Mobile promises that the process would be easy and fast.
They might release software updates on their existing phones to support this new mobile platform.
Their customers would not be allowed to download applications from other sources.
This store would work with BlackBerry and Windows Mobile. Sidekick and Google Android based phones would not be supported.
T-Mobile’s director of mobile Web and content services, Ian McKerlich added about the specifications for the applications: “We are doing our darndest to write down what these stewardship principles are; it’s the transparency of that, that’s key.”
