Google to fix privacy related issues in Google Chrome
Google Chrome is the latest entry into the web browsers market and it has impressed a lot of web users.
However, some of the Chrome’s features have been criticized by privacy advocates as they send too much data to the company.
For example, whenever a user enters any keyword in the address bar (Omnibox), Google conducts a search for that keyword to suggest a related link.
This means that the data is transmitted to the company even before the user presses the enter key.
Google has now responded that they would fix these privacy related issues in their Chrome browser.
The company has said that they would be anonymizing the IP addresses of the users in addition to the related cookies for keywords entered into the Omnibox.
Jane Horvath, Google’s senior privacy counsel claimed: “This really just illustrates how seriously we do take data anonymization.”
