Yahoo.com promoting Firefox 3!
A lot has been happening in the web browser market these days.
Microsoft released the second beta of Internet Explorer 8 which we believe is much better than what we had with Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2.
Mozilla is working on Firefox 3.1 which they claim would be much faster with a brand new JavaScript engine.
And of course, Google launched Chrome which is arguably one of the fastest web browsers in the market right now.
And another little news with probably big consequences is that Yahoo.com is now promoting Firefox 3 direct from its homepage!
Yahoo is offering a customized Firefox 3 edition which comes with some customizations optimized for Yahoo users:
• The world’s homepage with built-in Search powered by Yahoo!
• Yahoo! Search with Search Assist for instant suggestions as you type, and SearchScan for added safety
• Yahoo! Toolbar to keep your favorites at your fingertips

Now, that is SO impressive!! First Google and now Yahoo promote Firefox!
I am totally a Google fan, but i hope Yahoo promotes OpenOffice, since they have no competitor to Google Docs.

I think yes, you can not rely on a new browser that too when its in beta. Google Chrome has started showing its bugs when it slows down, after multiple windows are opened. Also it does not provide you the ability to have addons to the browser right now if you are a computer savvy and uses web 2.0 tools like bookmarks, stumbleupon.com and others. So get your Firefox back to make your life easier with the best option in your machine.

I have had nothing but trouble since downloading Firefox 3. I can not access my Yahoo! mail at all in that version. I have had to go back to Firefox 2. I would like to be able to take advantage of all that Firefox 3 has to offer. Sadly, this does not seem to be the case.
Thanks,
