But don't think of the ads blocker because we are not interested in it either bless.

I believe I saw it in google chromes own forum posted by a rep that while the adblock goes against company philosophy (or something of that nature) when they get the API out they won't have any restrictions for what the user wishes to add to their browser

if a company can come out with things such as gmail, the gears(google gears), google desktop, google search itself, the promising android etcetera etcetera... it's hardly a surprise that when it gets into browsers it will do something to rule the roost...(which it has rightly done with chrome)
ads are not a matter of concern here...maybe they will launch an adblock of their own which will block all ads but googles own...
i agree with exzede but if they do not include the adblock in their repositories and include their own adblock 90% would use the one in the repositories...
the point is that google chrome is the most promising browser with its amazing speed and efficiency and i see IE as dead and mozilla as half dead as soon as the full version of chrome is launched.

google text ads are ok to me because they don't irritate, like flashings and popups. and yea firefox is beginning to get on my nerves and ie's good as dead. so chrome's my browser of choice for now.

Guys, "Meh" already said what's going to happen.

"You can’t control open source. If google somehow blocked ad-blocking addons, somebody would just fork the code and undo google’s restriction — which is why google won’t even try to stop it"

It's true and logical. If you've ever REALLY used FireFox you'd know this.

Well I dont think google has a problem. The adblock plugin lets through the text ads like the ones google displays. Adblock plugin only blocks ads that really come in the way of your surfing. So google has no problem. Moreover, google can keep changing the ad extensions to fool the adblock addon every now and then :)

more is better. i don't like firefox, hate ie, and i am slowing losing my faith in opera. maybe it will become a more complete and fine browser in the future. for a beta version is very promising.
