Google Gears for Apple Safari Beta released
Search engine giant Google has quietly released a beta edition of their Gears plug-in for the Apple Safari web browser.
Google Gears is already available for Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.
The application enables the user to perform offline activities on web services which support Google Gears.
Some of the popular web services making use of Google Gears include Google Reader, WordPress, and Remember the Milk.
Experts believe that the support for Safari has now boosted the possibility of an updated edition of Gmail that would support Google Gears as well.
