Android 1.0 to get crippled Bluetooth support
The developers behind the Google Android project had some bad news.
The first major edition of the Android mobile platform would not include Bluetooth and the GTalkService instant messaging APIs
The first generation Android based mobile devices would be able to use Bluetooth headsets but applications would not be able to use this feature.
The developers said in a blog post that they had to delay the implementation of broad support for Bluetooth as they ran out of time.
Google aims to bring out the first devices powered by Android before the end of the year.
They have also removed API for GTalkService from this first version due to security and privacy concerns.
Developers have promised to include them in the future versions.
