Magnolia goes open source

Social-bookmarking service Magnolia has announced that they are now making available their technology to open source community.

This means that anyone who wants to run a similar service can download it and install it on a web server.

This is similar to how blogging service WordPress works. User has the choice to blog on WordPress.com or install his own blog using the code from WordPress.org.

The open source implementation should help boost the features of Magnolia as they are likely to get inputs from the open source developers.
