Internet Explorer 8 to get privacy mode
Most people call the privacy mode offered by some specialized browser porn mode. Apple Safari already has it and now Internet Explorer 8 is expected to get it.
The mode would enable the user to restrict the information that is stored by the browser about the sites being surfed.
Analysts have noticed two new patents in the name of Microsoft which hints at these feature additions in the upcoming Internet Explorer 8 web browser.
These patents are for ideas they call: “Cleartracks” and “Inprivate”.
Microsoft is expected to launch the final edition of IE 8 later this year. They have released some test versions for beta testers.
Firefox developers are also said to be working on adding a similar functionality in the open source web browser. Though some add-ons can still be used to perform the same.
