Friendster now allowing third party applications
Social networking service Friendster has announced that they are now letting third party developers to code applications for their service.
These applications would also be supported on rival services.
Incidentally, Friendster is already a member of Google’s OpenSocial initiative which allows developers to code application for a single platform which works on multiple sites.
Friendster is now providing their own toolkit for developers to code their applications.
Friendster is less popular when compared to social networking giants Facebook and MySpace but they still have a very strong following in Asian countries.
