Google provides a way to Enhance 404 pages!
Search engine giant Google has launched a new service for webmasters. They are providing a tool named ‘Enhance 404 pages’.
Using this tool, webmasters can add a new widget on 404 pages on their websites.
This widget would display relevant information to the user visiting their site in case he lands on a dead page.
The information would include the closest match to the URL originally visited. Google can retrieve this information easily from their search database.
Google also provide links to parent directory in addition to the link to the sitemap.
