Microsoft launches MSN Messenger 7.5
World’s largest software developing company Microsoft has launched the final version of their instant messenger MSN Messenger 7.5. However, the party was apparently spoiled when Google too decided to launch their own IM and VoIP enabled application Google Talk. Microsoft has released MSN Messenger 7.5 as a free upgrade, which is available from their website.
This latest update offers back-end improvements to help overall performance. In addition, there are minor updates to the interface of the application. MSN Messenger 7.5 now offers the ability to exchange brief audio clips of up to 15 seconds. Users can also use animated backgrounds on their chat windows to sparkle the interface. Google’s initial version of the Google Talk in comparison is minimalist in comparison.
Microsoft has also aimed to make it easier for the user to access popular features such as specialized channels and favorite places. The update also fixes issues with the performance of multimedia components in the software launched in the previous version of MSN Messenger. The product includes 10 backgrounds that users can choose and gives the user to buy additional components from the internet.
MSN Messenger remains one of the top Instant Message clients, right after America Online Inc.’s AOL product. However, with the entry of the Google in this field is surely going to make things interesting.
