iAntiVirus: Free antivirus solution for Apple Mac
PC Tools has launched iAntiVirus which is a free antivirus product for the Apple Mac platform.
Apple Macs are generally free of virus and worm problems though there are some issues which might require such a solution.
iAntiVirus now joins ClamXav in being one of the free antivirus products for the Mac platform. Several paid options are also available though they are not very popular.
This new product is currently in beta testing and users can download a full edition. Support would however cost money.
The company said that the product contains signatures for only 82 signatures for now which blocks as many as 300 variants of malware.
