Software industry giant Microsoft has surprised pundits by donating to the Apache Software Foundation.
The company added that they are also supplying code to support a PHP project ADOdb.
These plans were announced at the ongoing O’Reilly Open Source Convention being held in Portland, Oregon.

They are also providing code to ADOdb to help it communicate with a range of databases.
