Ubuntu 8.04 now available on Dell computers

Dell is finally selling personal computer products loaded with the latest edition of Ubuntu Linux.

Dell computers are now available pre-loaded with Hardy Heron. The models available are: XPS M1330N and Inspiron 1525N laptops and Inspiron 530N desktops.

The company took this time to add some exciting features on the Linux machines and to ensure full compatibility.

These machines feature peripherals like ATI Video Graphics, Dell Wireless, Fingerprint Readers, HDMI, Bluetooth and MP3/WMA/WMV.

They are also working on bringing Linux to their other models as well including XPS M1530n and the new Studio 15n.
