Lycos launches OpenSocial based web publishing tool
Lycos has announced the launch of their new web publishing tool which utilizes Google’s OpenSocial API.
This new tool enables the user to develop web sites which utilizes social networking capabilities.
The company also unveiled developer tools named Webon which enables user to develop interactive sites using drag-and-drop and text-based user interface.
Lycos claims that their tools are more powerful yet simpler compared to Google Pages.
Lycos already offer web publishing solutions under the brand name Tripod and Angelfire.
Engage.com, Friendster, LinkedIn, MySpace, Plaxo, Salesforce.com and Six Apart are some other services which are already using OpenSocial technologies.
