Microsoft to stop selling Windows XP today
Software giant Microsoft would stop selling Windows XP operating system in the retail market from today.
This is a controversial move from the company which claims that there is little demand for this OS in the market and customers should move on to Windows Vista which was launched last year.
However, market experts tell another story. Windows Vista is not that hot with corporate and Microsoft is basically enforcing them to move to Vista OS.
Windows XP would still be available from PC manufacturers in the near future.
Microsoft has also allowed makers of cheap laptops and notebooks to continue offer Windows XP as the OS considering these machines are yet not capable enough to run Vista efficiently.
