Dell extend sales of XP loaded machines by a week
Personal Computer maker Dell has announced that they are now extending the sales of PCs equipped with Windows XP by a week.
The company took this decision to meet the demand from the customers who still prefer XP over Vista operating system.
Dell would be offering three XP-powered configurations of the Inspiron 530 desktop and one model of its XPS 630 desktop through this period.
The company had earlier decided to stop selling these XP loaded machines by June 18. They are offering customers a copy of XP along with Vista for an additional fee.
Dell spokeswoman Anne Camden said in a statement: “We’re offering select configurations through June 26. We’re not offering any components or accessories on these systems that might cause a delay in shipping.”
