Microsoft Windows Update cleans up password stealing malware
Software giant Microsoft released their monthly patches earlier this week.
The company said that the patch release came with the Malicious Software Removal Tool which cleaned up password stealing malware from user’s machines.
Microsoft said that the latest edition cleaned up password stealing malware from as many as 2 million machines worldwide.
A company representative said in a statement: “These are ridiculous numbers of infections my friends, absolutely mind-boggling.”
One of the programs targeted by this updated app was Taterf which was detected on 700,000 computers in the first day after the update.
