Mozilla Foundation releases Mozilla Firefox 1.0.6
Mozilla Foundation just recently released Mozilla Firefox 1.0.5 to counter the various security glitches found in the previous version. Now, they have had to release another update to fix more issues. The open source application developer has just launched Mozilla Firefox 1.0.6 and it contains minor updates to improve stability.
The Firefox 1.0.5 update managed to ruin support for certain extensions for the browser, which required fixes. Extensions are normally related to the user profiles created on Web sites. The company that owns the site, not by Mozilla, designs these extensions. These sometimes results in incompatibility issues with the web browser itself.
Versions 1.0.6 of Firefox has now been patched to “restore API (Application Programming Interface) compatibility for extensions and Web applications “which were unintentionally broken in the editions released last week. The browser has made some gains in market share in the recent times with flaws and bugs being rather frequent on the most popular browser on the web, Internet Explorer.
Mozilla Foundation expects to touch a web browser market share of 10% before the end of the year. This would be an amazing achievement considering the browser was launch in November last year.
