Qualcomm expects Windows Mobile 7 to become popular on mini laptops
Microprocessor maker Qualcomm has said that they have high hopes from the Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 7 operating system.
The company said that this operating system could become popular on the mini laptops which are gaining popularity worldwide.
The current generation version (Win Mobile 6.x) is not designed with these new devices in mind as they continue to remain popular on Smartphones.
Qualcomm this week showcased a mini-laptop that was powered by Linux but supported 3G. The company said that these devices could be sold in the market for as little as USD 300.
Windows Mobile 7 has much low system requirements as compared to regular versions of Windows. This would make sure that the devices can be designed to be compact and cheap.
