Apple could showcase Mac OS X 10.6 at World Wide Developer Conference
Market sources say that Apple could announce their next operating system release (Mac OS X 10.6) at the upcoming World Wide Developer Conference.
World Wide Developer Conference is scheduled to take place in San Francisco and the company is also rumored to be planning to launch the second generation Apple iPhone.
Sources say that the company could provide copies of a preview release of this next major update to the Mac OS X operating system.
The current edition of Mac OS X is 10.5.3.
One of the major changes in this next edition is said to be lack of support for PowerPC processors as the company would completely switch over to the Intel platform with their new development tools.
