Mobile Linux to grow through Smartphones
A lot of new hot projects are in development promising to bring advanced features to mobile devices using the Linux operating system.
Google is working on the much talked about Android platform. LiMo Foundation is also working on another similar project.
Market analysts have now said that they expect Linux will take 23% of the Smartphone market in the coming five years.
It is likely to become the second most popular platform in this segment after Symbian. In other words, it is going to take the position from Microsoft’s Windows Mobile platform.
Google recently demonstrated the latest features of Android and received good feedback from developers.
