Microsoft Windows Live Expo service to be killed next month
Microsoft seems to have realized that they cannot really have a successful competitor to established web services.
The company has revealed that they would shut down their Windows Live Expo service next month.
Windows Live Expo is their online classified advertising site which made it a rival to the market leader Craigslist.com.
A message on the website stated that ‘All current listings will remain on expo.live.com until they expire’.
The company added in a note: “We thank you for your patronage and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Incidentally, Microsoft had also recently killed off their Book Search project which failed to challenge a similar project operated by Google.
