Ping.fm for all you social networking fans!
Ping.fm is an exciting new service (currently need invites) designed for the fans of various social networking services.
It works with a variety of networks including:
Bebo, Blogger, Facebook, hi5, Jaiku, LinkedIn, LiveJournal, Mashable, MySpace, Plurk, Pownce, Tumblr, Twitter and Xanga
Updates can be made using a variety of ways and devices. They are currently supporting: AOL AIM, Google Talk, iGoogle Gadget, Facebook Application, Apple iPhone, and a mobile application based on WAP.
The service can be used to post snippets, links, and even complete blog posts to the relevant services.
Ping.fm also has a custom trigger functionality. It is described as:
For instance, if you wanted to set up a trigger just to post activity status such as Facebook statuses, you could set up the trigger as “status” and once activated, you could send a message using your newly added trigger: “#status is posting a message with Ping.fm!”
