Hewlett-Packard computers to come loaded with Microsoft Live platform
If you are not a fan of the Microsoft Live search engine, you might want to avoid buying HP computers in the future.
Hewlett Packard has announced a deal with Microsoft which would see them loading their machines with Microsoft Live toolbars.
This deal would be effective next January for new PCs in the United States and Canada.
Microsoft would be replacing Yahoo which is currently providing similar tools and services on HP products.
HP said that Live search engine would become the default search engine on the Internet Explorer web browser on their computers.
Kevin Johnson, president of Microsoft’s platform and services division spoke about this deal: “This is the most significant distribution deal for Live Search that Microsoft has ever done.”
Dell has a similar deal with Google at the moment.
