India and Brazil against Office Open XML format as an international standard
Brazil and India have now filed an appeal against selection of the Microsoft’s Office Open XML format as an internationally recognized standard for electronic documents.
With this, three countries have now filed their protest against the decision to make this format an international standard.
South Africa had expressed their disagreement last week.
This would prove to be a disappointment for the software giant which requires this approval to get lucrative government deals to sell their MS Office suite.
