Microsoft: Windows 7 to feature multi-touch technology
Software giant Microsoft has announced that the next version of Windows operating system codenamed Windows 7 would come loaded with multi-touch features.
This new edition is expected to be launched in the market in 2010. The company showcased a demo highlighting this new feature.
Microsoft said that this new technology would enable the user to enlarge and shrink photos, trace routes on maps, paint pictures or play the piano.
Company chairman Bill Gates added: “The way you interact with the system will change dramatically. Today almost all the interaction is keyboard-mouse. Over years to come, the role of speech, vision, ink - all of those things - will be huge.”
Gates added that they want to do better than Vista in this upcoming edition of Windows operating system.
