Adobe prefer smaller acquisitions for expansion
Adobe might have made one of the most impressive acquisitions in the recent past by taking over Macromedia but the company prefers to make smaller deals for growth.
Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen said in a statement that they prefer acquiring smaller companies to get access to talented people.
He said: “Our ability to integrate a large company like Macromedia gives us confidence should there be a suitable target. We really like these small companies that fill out technology gaps. Expect to see us do more of these small acquisitions. That really is more the sweet spot of where we’re looking.”
Adobe got access to technologies like Flash and applications like Dreamweaver through the Macromedia acquisition.
