Microsoft to add support for ODF in Microsoft Office!
Software giant Microsoft has announced that they would soon begin supporting document formats generated by rival office productivity suites.
The company said that sometime next year they would release updates to enable the user of MS Office to open and edit ODF file format files.
Erich Anderson, vice president and general counsel for Europe said in a statement: “Microsoft is going to be providing support for three new file formats directly in the Office product.”
The other two formats to be supported are: Adobe PDF and their own XPS format.
Microsoft Office users can currently access ODF files by downloading an add-on.
