IBM to make Cognos accessible from Blackberry

US based tech giant IBM has said that they are going to make their Cognos business intelligence software accessible through Research in Motion’s Blackberry platform.

They would soon start offering a mobile application that would make available this facility.

RIM has been encouraging software companies to develop applications for the Blackberry platforms to enhance the usability of the mobile device.

IBM said that the program that would sell for $300 per user would allow customers to view real-time analytics on their blackberry devices.

Microsoft also had recently announced their plans to launch Live Messenger and Hotmail for Blackberry devices.
