Windows Live Messenger and Hotmail coming to Blackberry platform
Microsoft and Resource in Motion are collaborating together to bring support for Windows Live Messenger and Hotmail on the Blackberry platform.
The two companies said that the collaboration is aimed to provide an easy mobile access to Windows Live Messenger. It would also provide an enhanced level of integration between Windows Live Hotmail and the BlackBerry platform.
Blackberry owners would then be able to use the PUSH technology to get mails from MSN Hotmail webmail service.
In addition, they would be able to connect with their friends on MSN Messenger.
RIM’s vice president of corporate marketing, Mark Guibert added: “The BlackBerry platform is respected around the world for providing optimized messaging capabilities and RIM continues to look for ways to provide customers with a wide range of communications options and the best possible mobile experience. Our relationship with Microsoft and the addition of Windows Live services to BlackBerry smartphones helps us build on that strategy for our customers.”
