Microsoft gives information on upcoming patches and bug releases
Software giant Microsoft has released information regarding three security bulletins scheduled for release this week during its monthly roundup of security updates in July. Two of the security bulletins set for release are critical and are related to Windows operating system. The third one affects a component with Microsoft Office.
Users of these applications would be able to download the patches for all three security bulletins using the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA) as and when they are released to the public. This upcoming patch release would also come with an updated Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.
Instead of making it available through the Software Update Services site, the company would be providing it through the Microsoft Update, Windows Update, and Windows Server Update Services and at the company’s Download Center. Another scheduled update is for Microsoft Office, which is a non-security, high-priority update for the office suite from the company.
The company did not release any detailed information about these patches so as to avoid any information leaking to potential malicious code writers. Though, the affected products are announced to help the system administrators to get ready to apply the upcoming patches.
