Dell to continue offer Windows XP after June
US based personal computer maker Dell has announced that they would continue to offer Windows XP operating system to their customers after the June deadline.
Microsoft is scheduled to stop selling Windows XP operating system after June as they want customers to move to their latest offering Windows Vista.
A dell representative said in a statement: “We are now offering an optional Dell-provided service to install Windows XP Professional for a customer while also providing the customer with a Windows Vista license and Windows Vista operating system DVD.”
Customers would however be required to purchase a copy of Windows Vista to avail this offer.
However, this offer would not last forever as they are making use of the Microsoft System Builder License which allows them to offer XP if the customer buys a copy of Vista.
