PayPal would not ban Apple Safari users
Online payment gateway provider PayPal had recently said that they were soon going to block access to their site by unsafe web browsers.
The company had stated that older generation of browsers lacked any anti-phishing capabilities and they would soon start giving warning to the users of these browsers.
Apple Safari is one product currently available in the market which lacks any anti-phishing capabilities.
Market rumors stated that PayPal might end up blocking Safari too unless Apple added this capability to their browser product.
PayPal has now clarified that they are not going to block access to any current generation web browser.
A company representative clarified: “We have absolutely no intention of blocking current versions of any browsers, including Apple’s Safari, from our website.”
PayPal’s Michael Barrett had stated earlier: “It’s critical to not only warn users about unsafe browsers, but also to disallow older and insecure browsers. Letting users view the PayPal site on one of these browsers is equal to a car manufacturer allowing drivers to buy one of their vehicles without seatbelts.”

They are fools for not blocking safari. They may claim that they are not blocking current versions of software, but safari is the only current explorer without anti-phishing support. (i say support because some other browsers that dont have anti phishing can have it added) Saying that new browsers wont be blocked is basically saying that Apple are being exepted from the rules
