Google launches Urchin 6 after major delays
Search engine giant Google has finally launched the version 6 of their Urchin software. They had acquired this technology through an acquisition deal.
The software was originally scheduled for release in 2004.
Urchin 6 is finally available for purchase from authorized resellers for $2,995.
The delay was primarily because the company concentrated on the free offering of the software which is available as a web service by the name Google Analytics.
Urchin is installable on the client’s server which is preferred by corporate customers.
Urchin was originally sold as a base software with several add-ons priced separately. Google has bundled all the tools into a single combined solution to keep it simple for the customers.
