Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring released
Mandriva has launched the latest version of their Linux distribution.
The latest edition is the Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring which comes loaded with KDE 3.5.9 desktop environment.
It also ships with the Elisa multimedia center developed to make it easier for the user to manage digital media content.
The company has also integrated tools to make it easier for the computers to connect with mobiles and PDAs.
The OS also includes new parental control utility designed to let them control which their kids do on the internet.
Mandriva said that this release was designed with low cost computers in mind and it is fully compatible with the Asus EEE PC.
