Yahoo Japan to use Microsoft Silverlight technology
Yahoo might be trying hard to stay away from Microsoft in the US market but their Japanese unit has announced the decision to embrace Silverlight for enhancing the search experience.
The new updated web interface is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
The company is also planning to use Silverlight in more of their services.
Microsoft Silverlight technology is a new challenger to Adobe Flash which enables enhanced interactivity on websites.
Madison Square Garden Interactive, Tencent, Abertis Telecom, Terra Networks Operations, SBSi, and MNet are some other companies which are using Silverlight extensively.
