Opera and Motorola extends deal
Opera Software seems to be expanding their horizon of clients for the mobile market. They already are the dominating browser for the small screen devices market but faces upcoming competition from Mozilla Minimo and the new browser solution being developed by Nokia and Apple. The company has just renewed their dealing with Motorola to offer long term solutions.
They have also just launched a final version of their browser for the windows mobile platform after massive user demand for this platform. With Motorola, they have struck a 3 year deal which forms an expansion of an existing deal. Opera is committed to provide browser solutions for all the platforms available in the market.
Sivertsen said in a statement: “That major players like Motorola and T-Mobile choose Opera really says two things. One is that mobile Internet is becoming common and being taken seriously and there Opera is well positioned. The other is that this is a confirmation of the quality of our products.â€
Opera now have excellent solutions for web browser for platforms like: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, OS/2, BeOS, QNX, Symbian OS and many more mobile Operating Systems.
