Microsoft Amalga now available in Europe
US based software giant Microsoft is now offering their Amalga health-care software in Europe.
This was announced at the CohnIT health-care show on Wednesday in Berlin.
Amalga comes loaded with several features including tools to handle patient care records to tracking research projects and finance department tasks.
The company added that the software is capable of managing more than 40TB of data.
It is based on their .NET Framework and uses SQL Server database.
Market analyst Tola Sargeant spoke about this new development: “If it can be proven in wide-scale deployments- and with Microsoft behind it we have no reason to suppose it won’t be- then Amalga is likely to have strong appeal for European health care providers, particularly those with a mish-mash of existing clinical and departmental systems that remain popular with clinicians.”
