Apple updates QuickTime and iTunes
Apple Inc. has issued new updates for their QuickTime and iTunes application suite.
The company said that the latest release comes with 11 patches for its QuickTime multimedia program.
Some of these bugs were critical and could have allowed hackers to execute malicious code on a machine.
Apple has been pretty active with the updates to their applications as they are increasingly being targeted by security researchers.
Apple mentioned that most of the bugs fixed in this release were reported by TippingPoint, a security vendor that runs Zero Day Initiative.
