Ubuntu 8.04 Beta released
The developers behind the popular Ubuntu Linux distribution have now made available the first beta of the Ubuntu 8.04 release.
The final edition is expected to be shipped sometime next month as part of their half yearly schedule.
Ubuntu has become the poster boy of the Linux world promoting this open source operating system as an alternative to Windows OS.
The developers are suggesting that users do not install the beta version on production machines.
New features and enhancements in this edition:
